The Char 2C French Super Heavy Tank was a legendary armored vehicle developed during the final phase of World War I. Recognised as the largest tank ever produced in operational service, the Char 2C remains one of the most impressive achievements in early tank engineering. It was designed and built by the French shipyard Forges et Chantiers de la Méditerranée (FCM) near Toulon.

This massive tank required a crew of 12 and was armed with a powerful 75mm main gun supported by four 8mm machine guns. Measuring 10.27 metres long and weighing 69 tons, the Char 2C was powered by two Maybach 250hp engines using an electric transmission system, allowing a top speed of 12–15 km/h. Its armour protection reached 45mm at the front and 22mm on the sides, making it resistant to most anti-tank weapons of the 1920s and 1930s. Only 10 units were ever built, each named after an ancient region of France, adding historical significance to this iconic tank.
